Avici's Composite Links gives carriers a powerful tool for simplifying networks and protecting links. By aggregating up to 64 physical links into a single logical link, carriers can seamlessly expand link capacity and improve network utilization. With sub-45 ms failover times, traffic is rapidly redistributed from a failed member link without impacting services.

• Flexible support for wide range of member link speeds (OC-3 to OC-192) including combination of links with 4:1 speed differential
• Weighted fair queuing at each ingress interface for deterministic load balancing.
