Avici Systems Schedules Conference call Today, January 8, 2004, at 8:30AM EST to Discuss Strategic Relationship with Nortel Networks
N. Billerica, MA, January 8, 2004 -- Avici Systems (Nasdaq: AVCI) has scheduled a conference call for Thursday, January 8, 2004 at 8:30 AM EST. Avici will host a half-hour conference call to discuss the announcement by Avici and Nortel of a three-year strategic agreement under which Nortel Networks will integrate, sell and support Avici's carrier-class core routers as part of its transformed network solutions based on Internet Protocol (IP) technology. Under the agreement, Avici will become Nortel Networks* worldwide preferred 'partner' for IP core routers. Steve Kaufman, president and CEO, Avici Systems and Sue Spradley, president Wireline Networks, Nortel Networks will participate in the call.
