Agreement Provides IP Routing and Services Expertise to Carriers Deploying Next Generation Networks
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 24, 2001 -- In a move that reinforces its position at the forefront of delivering next-generation solutions to carriers, Avici Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: AVCI - news), a leading provider of scalable core routing solutions for intelligent IP-over-optical networks, today announced an agreement with global network services and I-Commerce solutions provider, Dimension Data (LSE: DDT). Through Dimension Data's extensive global skills base Avici is able to quickly offer a wide range of services tailored to the needs of carriers deploying advanced IP-based networks and services.
