pktsched Messages

This chapter describes messages generated by the pktsched subsystem.

Warning

Message: Best Effort Queue is below threshold 0x<BE threshold>

Meaning: The Best Effort Queue has returned to normal from a threshold exceeded discarding condition.

Action: No action required.

Message: Best Effort Queue threshold was exceeded 0x<BE threshold>

Meaning: Discards are occuring because the Best Effort Queue has exceeded its threshold.

Action: No action required.

Message: Control Queue is below threshold 0x<control threshold>

Meaning: The Control Queue has returned to normal from a threshold exceeded discarding condition.

Action: No action required.

Message: Control Queue threshold was exceeded 0x<control threshold>

Meaning: Discards are occuring because the Control Queue has exceeded its threshold.

Action: None - a higher than normal amount of control packets are being received.

Message: Packet Memory free list best effort threshold has exceeded 0x<BE threshold>

Meaning: Discards are occuring because the Best Effort Packet Memory Free List has exceeded its threshold. This message indicates that the module is being back pressured.

Action: No action required.

Message: Packet Memory free list best effort threshold is below 0x<BE threshold>

Meaning: The Best Effort Packet Memory Freelist threshold has returned to normal from a threshold exceeded discard condition.

Action: No action required.

Message: Regular Bandwidth Queue is below threshold 0x<RBW threshold>

Meaning: The Regular Bandwidth Queue has returned to normal from a threshold exceeded discarding condition.

Action: No action required.

Message: Regular Bandwidth Queue threshold was exceeded 0x<RBW threshold>

Meaning: Discards are occuring because the Regular Bandwidth Queue has exceeded its threshold.

Action: No action required.

Message: Scheduled Order packet not received

Meaning: A scheduled packet was not received on the ingress path.

Action: No action required, recovery for this condition is automatically initiated.

Message: Unscheduled Order packet received

Meaning: An unscheduled packet was received.

Action: No action required.
