logging Messages

This chapter describes messages generated by the logging subsystem.

Critical

Message: Corrupt data detected: aviciLogMsg(): formatted string too long, memory corruption!

Meaning: Memory corruption was detected.

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Log_TaskDiskMain() Exiting - msgQReceive failed

Meaning: The logging system has failed due to an internal error

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Log_TaskDiskMain(): Did not find a free slot

Meaning: The logging system is running out of disk space.

Action: Attempt to clear space on the flash disk, or save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: No server log file

Meaning: There is no log file for the Route Server to write log messages to or the remote file could not be opened.

Action: Check the syslog configuration. If the problem persists save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Out of memory: aviciBayRtcTimeInit()

Meaning: System memory pool has been exhausted. Allocation failed during aviciBayRtcTimeInit().

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Out of memory: cannot allocate memory

Meaning: System memory pool has been exhausted. No further allocation available.

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Major

Message: Corrupt data detected: <string>

Meaning: Attempt to use invalid platform type (bay, server or module)

Action: Check the platform type if problem still persists Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support. This could occur if the server id was changed recently.

Message: Invalid logging message ID (<number>): platform <platform> logging sub-system <sub-system> maxMsg for sub-system <maximum message>

Meaning: The specified logging message ID is not in the known range for this logging sub-system.

Action: Notify Avici Customer Support.

Message: Invalid system <hexadecimal>: platform <hexadecimal> error <n>

Meaning: System number passed to a software component is out of range

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Out of memory: <message>

Meaning: An internal software component failed to allocate memory.

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: TEST: BIN: <hexadecimal> (0x33345)

Meaning: An internal source timed out on watchdog

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Unable to create file <string>

Meaning: An internal software component failed to create a file

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Unable to open file <string>

Meaning: An internal software component failed to open a file

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support.

Message: Unable to open socket <string>: error <n>:

Meaning: An internal software component failed to open a communication channel with the Route server

Action: Save your system log to a file and contact Avici Customer Support
