This chapter describes messages generated by the fttcp-ha subsystem.

Critical

Message: FTTCP:Couldn't get connection id

Meaning: High Availability functionality is not able to properly connect to the backup server(s).

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Failed to get mbuf. <function>:<line>

Meaning: High Availability functionality has run out of internal resources.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Failed to get memory. <function>:<line>

Meaning: High Availability functionality has run out of internal resources.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Pack msg failed. <function>:<line>

Meaning: A High Availbility internal error occurred. We were unable to process a message that we were going to send to the backup server.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Unpack msg failed. <function>:<line>

Meaning: A High Availbility internal error occurred. We were unable to process a message that we received from the backup server.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Bad message from repository. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Couldn't getsockopt <number>(<number>). <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Failed to get memory. <function>:<line>

Meaning: High Availability functionality has run out of internal resources.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Failed to pack message. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Failed to spawn the <name> task. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability initialization.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Fttcp kernel tasks have shutdown. <function>:<line>

Meaning: High Availability internal messaging has temporarily stopped.

Action: This is an important informational message. No action needs to be taken by the user.

Message: FTTCP:Informing serverfsm that fttcp had a persistent error. <function>:<line>

Meaning: High Availability internal messaging has a temporary error.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Informing serverfsm that fttcp had a soft error, which will bring the backup down. <function>:<line>

Meaning: High Availability has an internal error that will cause the backup server to reboot.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Internal error. Shutting down. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Ioctl failed <number>(<number>). <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Partial Write. Wrote <bytes> out of <bytes>. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Read EOF. <function>:<line>

Meaning: High Availability processing has closed the connection between the servers.

Action: This is an important informational message. No action needs to be taken by the user.

Message: FTTCP:Read failed <number>(<number>). <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred while trying to read data from the backup.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Read partial message of <bytes> bytes. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An unexpected error occurred. High Availability read a partial message when we weren't expecting one.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Received backup down notification

Meaning: High Availability processing has been notified that the backup server is down.

Action: This is an important informational message. No action needs to be taken by the user.

Message: FTTCP:Received unknown/unwanted message <type> from 0x<task> in fttcp state <state>. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Select failed <number>(<number>). <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Unknown command <name>. <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Message: FTTCP:Write failed <number>(<number>). <function>:<line>

Meaning: An internal error occurred during High Availability processing.

Action: Contact Avici Customer Support

Warning

Message: FTTCP:Received client complete message from 0x<task>. <name>:<line>

Meaning: All Fault Tolerant TCP (FTTCP) clients (LDP and BGP) finished initial replication. The FTTCP replication of socket state begins now.

Action: No action required.

Message: FTTCP:Received promote backup message, ip <byte>.<byte>.<byte>.<byte>, from FSM. <name>:<line>

Meaning: Message received from the server FSM to the Fault Tolerant TCP (FTTCP) task specifying the detection and promotion of the backup server.

Action: No action required.
