This procedure is for replacing a Stackable Switch Router (SSR) BIP alarm panel. Before beginning this procedure, carefully inspect the package to ensure no damage occurred during shipping or delivery. You will need a #1 philips-head screwdriver.
Replacing the Alarm Panel Module
The alarm panel module consists of the front panel and an alarm monitoring circuit board with a single rear connector. This subassembly comes already installed on the BIP. Refer to Figure 1. Because there are no direct power connections on the alarm panel module, there is no need to power down the SSR for this procedure. There is only a single non-power connector at the rear of the alarm panel circuit board that is guided to its receptacle connector by circuit board guide rails.
Removing the Alarm Panel Module
PROCEDURE: Use the following steps to remove the alarm panel module:
Step 1 Remove four philips head screws on the alarm panel cover on the center front panel of the BIP.
Step 2 Gently pull out the alarm panel module using the handle on the front panel.
Step 3 Place the alarm panel module in an area where it won't be damaged

Reinstalling the Alarm Panel Module
PROCEDURE: Use the following steps to reinstall the alarm panel module:
Step 1 Orient the alarm panel module so that the front panel is facing towards you and the circuit board is facing into the BIP opening.
Step 2 Gently insert the alarm panel module into the BIP opening assuring that the circuit board is inserted into the guide rails on each side of the BIP opening. Push the module in until the rear connector is firmly inserted into connector receptacle.
Step 3 Install four philips head screws on the alarm panel cover on the center front panel of the BIP.
