The Avici SSR Install Guide describes the procedures for installing and verifying operation of the Stackable Switch Router (SSR) system hardware.
About This Document
This guide offers information regarding system components as well as procedures for installing the SSR chassis. These include the following:
- SSR chassis
- Replaceable units
- Rack mounting procedure
- Power and safety ground procedures
- Populating the chassis
Intended Audience
The audience for this document is qualified service personnel trained in on-site network equipment installations.

What You Need to Know
Familiarity with data communications and electronic concepts and terms is necessary to understand the information presented in this guide.
One to two years of experience installing data communications equipment is necessary to perform the installation procedures in this guide.You must be familiar with general cabinet, shelf, and circuit board installation techniques and terminology. In addition, you must be aware of all electrical and physical safety procedures and standards.
