The IPriori Software Configuration Guide consists of three volumes:
- IPriori Software Configuration Guide (Vol. 1) describes the procedures to configure bays, modules, interfaces, users, SNMP, RMON, central alarms, security, SONET, fabric, logging, and MIBs on the Avici router.
- IPriori Software Configuration Guide (Vol. 2) describes the procedures for configuring the IP, OSPF, Integrated IS-IS and BGP routing protocols and routing policy.
- IPriori Software Configuration Guide (Vol. 3) describes the procedures for configuring IP Multicast, QoS, LDP, and Traffic Engineering (MPLS).
Audience
This document is written for experienced central office system managers who are familiar with routing, routing protocols, and industry standard router configuration.
Document Organization
This document describes the context in which IPriori CLI commands are used to configure the Avici router. It must be used in conjunction with the IPriori CLI reference manuals. Each chapter in the IPriori Software Configuration Guide details discreet functionality such as:
- Command line interface usage
- System image and configuration management
- Interface configuration
- Configuration of specific routing protocols
- Avici router management configuration
- Configuration of specific traffic management functionality
Each chapter begins with an introductory overview of a specific functionality followed by contextual details of commands relevant to that functionality; it concentrates on placing the commands within the configuration context. Refer to the following manuals for detailed descriptions of the IPriori CLI commands:
- IPriori CLI Reference (Vol. 1) - basic commands
- IPriori CLI Reference (Vol. 2) - protocol-related commands
- IPriori CLI Reference (Vol. 3) - traffic management-related commands
