C   MIBs

The acronym MIBS stands for Management Information Database. MIBS are a database of objects used by the Network Operations Center (NOC), a location from which a telecommunications network is supervised, monitored, and maintained. Both SNMP and RMON use standardized MIB formats that allow any SNMP and RMON tools to monitor any device defined by a MIB.

* Avici complies with the latest version of the MPLS Traffic Engineering Work Group MIB. If the current version of the MIB is used, ALL tunnel names must be limited to 56 characters or less in length to be queriable. The TSR Command Line Interface will enable entry of tunnel names which exceed this length. When the network operator tries to query a TSR using the SNMP Manager, at the first occurrence of a long tunnel name, the MIB walk will be discontinued.

NOTE: This MIB has been modified from the IETF draft version to add a MIB arc, correct syntax errors and enable the MIB to be compiled. and several new objects were added to support Backup Tunnels.
