show mpls statistics


Displays statistics for specified insegments, outsegments, and LSPs.

Syntax: show mpls statistics [collect times seconds | insegment | outsegment | lsp] {verbose | brief} [file filename]

collect times seconds

Specifies the number of times statistics are collected and the number of seconds for which statistics are collected. Valid values are:

  • times: 1 - 255 collections.

  • seconds: 0 - 59 seconds per collection.

insegment

Display only statistics for insegments or the specified insegment.

outsegment

Display only statistics for outsegments or the specified outsegment.

lsp

Display LSP statistics.

verbose

Display detailed statistics.

brief

Display summarized statistics.

file filename

Specify file name where display output is stored.

Description: Use the show mpls statistics commands to display the number of packets and bytes that traverse a specified insegment, outsegment or LSP.

Use the collect times seconds keyword and arguments to specify the number of times statistics are collected and the number of seconds of each collection.

Use the file filename keyword and argument to save the output of the display command in the specified file.

Use the brief keyword to display only non-zero statistics.

Use the verbose keyword to display all statistics.

Use the show mpls statistics insegment command to display statistics for insegments.

Use the show mpls statistics outsegment command to display statistics for outsegments.

Use the show mpls statistics lsp command to display statistics for LSPs.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Privileged and executive.

Example 1: In the following example, the show mpls statistics outsegment brief command displays summarized statistics for outsegments on this LSR:

router#show mpls statistics outsegment brief

outsegment POS 1/2/3, handle 8 - Packets out: 0, Bytes out: 0

outsegment POS 1/2/3, handle 16 - Packets out: 0, Bytes out: 0

outsegment POS 1/2/3, handle 24 - Packets out: 0, Bytes out: 0

Example 2: In the following example, the show mpls statistics outsegment verbose command displays statistics for outsegments on this LSR:

router#show mpls statistics outsegment verbose



outsegment POS 1/2/3, handle 8

Label action: push 1, label(s): 4095

LSP id 676, 91.91.91.2 -> 7.7.7.7 (Tunnel id 602, 'tsr701')

Field Description

outsegment POS n/n/n

Identifies the outgoing interface of this outsegment using the Interface-type bay/slot/port notation.

handle:

Identifies the interface using the handle notation.

insegment POS n/n/n

Identifies the incoming interface of this insegment using the Interface-type bay/slot/port notation.

Packets in:

Number of packets in on this segment.

Bytes in:

Number of bytes in on this segment

Label actions

Push: MPLS label is added onto existing label stack.

Pop: MPLS label is remove from label stack.

Swap: Incoming MPLS label is swapped for outgoing MPLS label.

Label ID(s) for indicated label action.

packets out:

Number of packets out on this segment.

bytes out:

Number of bytes out for this segment.

packets dropped:

Number of packets dropped by this segment.

bytes dropped:

Number of bytes dropped by this segment.
