apply qosmark-mapping parameter-set

Provides access to the QoSmark mapping command mode for mapping internal PSC values to exit DSCP and EXP values for this interface.

Syntax: apply qosmark-mapping parameter-set name

no apply qosmark-mapping parameter-set

name

The name of the QoS mapping parameter set.

Description: When a packet enters an Avici router its DSCP or EXP values are mapped to IP or MPLS PSCs for internal treatment as the packet crosses the fabric. When the packet exits the router this internal mapping can be reversed such that PSC values are mapped to an exit DSCP or EXP value that is different from the entering value. You must enter a QoS mapping command mode in order to map PSC values to exiting DSCP or EXP values. QoS mapping can be set on an interface or global to the router. Use the apply command in interface mode to set QoS mapping on an interface basis. Setting QoS mapping on an interface basis overrides any global configuration.

Use the apply qosmark-mapping parameter-set command to enter the command mode for the mapping of PSC values to the DSCP or EXP value when exiting the router for this interface. When first entering this command mode a mapping is created and filled with the default QoS mapping.

Once in parameter-set Qosmark-mapping command mode, use the from psc to command to map IP and MPLS PSC values to exit DSCP and EXP values, respectively.

Once in Qosmark-mapping command mode, you can disable exit-marking the router for default mappings by using the disable-marking command.

Use the no apply qosmark-mapping parameter-set command in interface mode to delete a specified parameter-set.

Use the qosmark-mapping parameter-set command in configuration command mode to apply a qosmark-mapping parameter-set globally to this router.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Interface mode

Example 1: The following example provides access to the QoS mapping command mode for configuring PSC to exit DSCP and EXP mappings for parameter-set priority for the 1/1/1 interface:

router#config terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z

router(config)#interface pos 1/1/1

router(config-if)#apply qosmark-mapping parameter-set priority

router(config-if)#

Example 2: The following command deletes the priority QoS mapping for the 1/1/1 interface:

router#config terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

router(config)#interface pos 1/1/1

router(config-if)#no apply qosmark-mapping parameter-set priority

router(config)#
