
debug ip msdp
Enables/disables debug for MSDP.
Syntax: debug ip msdp [all | sa | peer | resets | normal | terse | verbose]
all
Displays all MSDP debug messages.
sa
Displays MSDP SA, SA-Request and SA-Response debug messages.
peer
Displays MSDP peering and KeepAlive debug messages.
resets
Displays MSDP notification and peer reset debug messages
normal
Displays an level of message detail between terse and verbose.
terse
Displays a minimum level of message detail.
verbose
Displays a maximum level of message detail
Description: Use the debug ip msdp command to display debug information for this MSDP speaker.
Factory Default: None.
Command Mode: Privileged.
Example 1: The following command displays a sample of peer debug output:
router#debug ip msdp peer
router#DEBUG:IP MSDP:peer: MSDP Message Received : src 198.10.7.7, dst 198.10.7.3, type = 1, length = 80 bytes
DEBUG:IP MSDP:peer: MSDP Connect attempt failed setting retry: lcl 30.30.30.1, rmt 50.50.50.1, attempt # = 1475
DEBUG:IP MSDP:peer: MSDP Message Received : src 198.10.2.5, dst 198.10.2.3, type = 1, length = 56 bytes
DEBUG:IP MSDP:peer: KeepAlive Tx : local 198.10.7.3 -> peer 198.10.7.7, length = 3 bytes
