srlg-name

Associates a text name with an SRLG number.

Syntax: [no] srlg-name srlgName srlgNumber

srlgName

Specifies an alpha-numeric name to be associated with the specified SRLG number.

srlgNumber

Specifies the SRLG by the number assigned when creating the SRLG to which the cost will apply. Valid values are any assigned SRLG number: 0 - 4294967295.

Description: SRLGs can be defined by a alpha-numeric text name, a number, or both. SRLGs are created by entering the external-srlg command mode and associating a link with the SRLG using the from command. You enter the external-srlg command mode specifying either a name or number. The SRLG created is assigned that name or number. Use the srlg-name command if you created the SRLG using a name and want to associate a number with the SRLG, or you created the SRLG using a number and want to associate a name with the SRLG.

You can associate a name with a number before you actually modify an SRLG by adding links or nodes to it. If the SRLG is not yet modified, you can delete a name and number association by using the no srlg-name command, or overwrite a name/number association by reentering the srlg-name command with the new association. Once an SRLG has been modified by adding links or nodes to it, you must first delete the SRLG using the no external-srlg command before either deleting or overwriting an SRLG name/number association.

NOTE The association of an SRLG number with a text name is optional. The command is provided for compatibility with routers that require a text name.

Use the srlg-name command to specify a name/number association for the specified SRLG.

Use the no srlg-name command to delete a name/number association for the specified SRLG.

Factory Default: No name/number associations are defined.
