interface frl-pvc


Creates and deletes a PVC by entering PVC configuration mode.

Syntax: interface frl-pvc bay/slot/port.dlci

no interface frl-pvc bay/slot/port.dlci

bay/slot/port.dlci

Identifies a specific POS interface and DLCI associated with this PVC. Valid values are as follows:

bay: Identifier for this bay. Valid values are 1 - through x where x is the number of installed bays.
slot: Slot number where the module is installed. Valid values are 1 - 40.

port: Valid values equal number of valid ports for the specified module, i.e. 1 - 4 for a four port module.

dlci: Specifies the DLCI for this PVC. Valid values are 1 - 1022

Description: PVCs must be configured at the frame relay interface for each end of a CCC service. Use the interface frl-pvc command specifying an interface and DLCI association to enter PVC configuration mode.

The following table summarizes the commands available in Module configuration command mode:

Command Description

encapsulation

Specifies PVC encapsulation. Valid values are:

  • frl-ccc - frame relay circuit cross connect encapsulation. Required for a PVC to be accepted in a service connection.

  • null - default when entering PVC configuration mode.

description

Specifies a description for this PVC of up to 64 ASCII characters.

exp

Provides for the configuring of an EXP value for this PVC. Valid values: 0 - 7. Default value: 0.

shutdown

Disable/enable a PVC and its connections if attached.

Example 1: This example defines a PVC with an interface 1/1/1 and DLCI 21 association and enters PVC configuration mode:

router#configure terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

router(config)#interface frl-pvc 1/1/1.21

router(config-pvc)#end

router#



Example 2: This example deletes a PVC with an interface 1/1/1 and DLCI 21 association:

router#configure terminal

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

router(config)#no interface frl-pvc 1/1/1.21

router(config)#end

router#
