Installing Bay Panels

The TSR system includes four removable side panels; one upper panel and one lower panel per side. All four panels are interchangeable.

This chapter describes the procedures for installing the upper and lower side panels, upper and lower back panels, and the rear assembly cover.

Tools Needed

Use the following tools to install the bay panels:

Installing the TSR Bay Side Panels

The mounting hardware attaches to the frame prior to the installation of the side panels.

PROCEDURE: Use the following steps to attach the mounting hardware and install the side panels:

Step 1 Use the #3 Phillips screwdriver to attach the two upper mounting brackets onto the side of the TSR system with the M6 screws and lock washers. The upper brackets orient with the mounting pin facing upward. Refer to Figure 6-1.

Step 2 Use the #3 Phillips screwdriver to attach the midpoint and lower mounting brackets onto the TSR system with the M6 screws and lock washers. Orient the mounting brackets with the pin facing upward. Refer to Figure 6-1.

Step 3 Slide an M-6 external tooth lock washer over the bottom mounting bracket pin on the bottom mounting bracket. Refer to Figure 6-1.

Step 4 Align the bottom of the side panel with the two mounting bracket pins on the bottom mounting bracket. The rubber pad should be facing up. Refer to Figure 6-1.

Step 5 Align the holes in the top of the lower panel under the alignment pin on the midpoint mounting bracket. Release the panel to drop it into place. Refer to Figure 6-1.

Step 6 Align the hole in the bottom of the top panel with the two mounting bracket pins in the bottom of the top mounting bracket. The rubber pad should be facing down. Release the panel to drop it into place. Refer to Figure 6-2.

Step 7 Attach and tighten the retaining fasteners (M5 keps nut) supplied with the mounting hardware. The panels should sit snugly on the brackets, with the rubber pads separating the two panels in the middle.

Step 8 Repeat Step 1 through Step 7 for remaining side panel. Refer to Figure 6-2.

Installing the TSR Bay Rear Panels

The TSR bay has two rear panels (one upper and one lower) and a rear air intake assembly. Connect ground wire connectors, located on the TSR bay and on each of the panels, prior to final mounting.

PROCEDURE: Use the following steps to install the rear panels and rear air intake assembly:

Step 1 Connect the female ground wire connector on the TSR system to the male ground wire connector on the lower rear panel.

Step 2 Orient the lower rear panel on the lower mounting brackets and align it with the side panels. Refer to Figure 6-3.

Step 3 Use the #2 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the four captive screws on the panel to secure it to the metal mounting brackets on the frame.

Step 4 Connect the female ground wire connector on the TSR system to the male ground wire connector on the upper rear panel.

Step 5 Orient the upper rear panel on the upper mounting brackets and align it with the side panels. Refer to Figure 6-3.

Step 6 Use the #2 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the four 6 mm captive screws on the panel to secure it to the metal mounting brackets on the frame.

Step 7 Connect the female ground wire on the TSR system to the male ground wire connector on the rear assembly.

Step 8 Align the ball studs of the rear intake assembly with the receptacles on the bay frame. Refer to Figure 6-4.
