show cpu

Displays information about CPU usage.

Syntax: show cpu {idle|tasks} {server server-id | bay [1|2] | module bay/slot} [5sec | 1min | 5min | taskname]

idle	Displays information about the amount of idle time for the specified server or bay controller.
tasks	Displays the CPU usage by task for the specified server or bay controller.
server server-id	Identifies the server CPU. Valid values are 1 or 2.
bay [1|2]	identifies the bay whose statistics are displayed.
module bay/slot	Identifies a specific module.

Description: The show cpu command displays information on task or idle time cpu usage for the specified platform.

Use the idle parameter to display information on idle time for a specific platform.

Use the tasks parameter to display information on task CPU usage for a specified platform.

show cpu output can be sorted by the percentage of total time period (5sec, 1min, or 5min) or by taskname.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Privileged.

Example 1: The following example shows output of show cpu tasks command for a server:

The fields displayed in the above example are:

Field	Description
TID	ID of the task.
Runtime	Runtime in milliseconds of the task.
Invoked	The number of activations of the task.
uSecs	The number of microseconds used by the task in the last 5 second interval.
5sec	The percentage of total time used by the task over the last 5 second period.
1 Min	The percentage of total time used by the task over the last 1 minute period.
5 Min	The percentage of total time used by the task over the last 5 minute period.
Name	The name of the task.

Example 1: The following example shows output of show cpu idle command for a server:

router# show cpu idle server 1 5Sec 1Min 5min 98.11% 98.10% 98.57%

The fields displayed in the above example are:

Field	Description
5 Sec	The percentage of total cpu idle time over the last 5 second interval.
1 Min	The percentage of total cpu idle time over the last 1 minute period.
5 Min	The percentage of total cpu idle time over the last 5 minute period.
