baynum

The number of the bay for which to show status.

server-registrations

Displays the servers in the specified bay.

controllers

Displays status for all Bay Controllers in an Avici router for all bays.

all

Displays status for all bays in a multibay configuration.

Description: The show bay command displays information related to the bay depending upon the keyword associated with the command. If no optional keyword is specified, the power and temperature statistics are provided.

Use the show bay server-registrations command to display server registration information for each server installed in the bay.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Executive

The following table describes the fields in the display:

Table 3-8. Fields Displayed by show bay
Field Description

CLEI Code for bay x

Specifies the Common Language Equipment Identification (CLEI) Code assigned by Telcordia for this bay.

BAYCONTROLLER
[1|2]

Identifies the bay controller.

administrative state

A bay controller can be in a state of:

  • reboot - bay controller is rebooting

  • passive - bay controller is in passive operation

  • active - bay controller is in active operation

current state is

The state of a bay controller can be

  • passive - bay controller is in passive operation

  • active - bay controller is in active operation

  • failed - bay controller encountered a failure

  • down - bay controller is not in operation.

Max number of historical logging files

Specifies the maximum number of logging files configured for this bay controller.

Bay Controller's CLEI Code

Specifies the Common Language Equipment Identification (CLEI) Code assigned by Telcordia for this bay controller.

Serial Number:

Serial number for the bay controller.

IPriori release version:

Release number for the version of IPriori operating on the bay controller.

Operational image version:

Version number for operational image.

ROM version:

Version number for bay controller boot ROM.

Temperature thresholds (degC)

bay

Critical, Major, and Minor temperature alarms for the bay controller are triggered at the indicated thresholds.

module

Critical, Major, and Minor temperature alarms for the routing modules are triggered at the indicated thresholds.

POWER:

Line [1A - 5B]

Identifies the line for which statistics are being kept. Lines 1A through 4B correspond to the A and B feeds the routing module shelves. Shelf 5 (lines 5A and 5B) is the bay controller shelf.

Breaker

Indicates if the breakers is closed (operational), open (tripped), or not in use (off).

Supply

Indicates the volts supplied to the corresponding shelf.

Status

The status of the line. inSpec means that the line is working within specifications. outSpec means that the power is outside of specifications on this line.

Volts

The number of volts measured on the line. A voltage of 5 indicates that one or more modules has been detected on the shelf. This value is blank for shelf 5.

Status

The status of the voltage. inSpec means that voltage on this line is within specifications. outSpec means that the voltage is outside of specifications. This value is blank for shelf 5.

LINKS:

Ethernet

Indicates if the links between the bay controller and the server are operational.

HDLC

Indicates if the links between the two bay controllers in this bay are operational.

FANS:

Fan [1 - 4]

The identifier of the fan.

Fan's CLEI Code

Specifies the Common Language Equipment Identification (CLEI) Code assigned by Telcordia for the fans.

AdminState

The state to which the fans have been set by an administrator:

  • autonomous - Software control of the fans is disabled.

  • controlled - Software control of the fans is enabled.
