
server-id
Configures the server ID.
Syntax: server-id server-id {upper|lower|full}
server-id
Sets the server ID for the server.
upper
Specifies the server is in the upper half of a split bay.
lower
Specifies the server is in the lower half of a split bay.
full
Specifies the server is in a full bay.
Description: When the Avici router is configured for split-bay:
Use the server-id server-id upper command to configure a server-id for the server that controls slots 1 - 20.
Use the server-id server-id lower command to configure a server-id for the server that controls slots 21 - 40.
When the Avici router is configured as a full bay:
Use the server-id server-id full syntax.
Factory Default: No server-id configured.
Command Mode: Configuration.
Example: In the following example, the server-id 1 command configures the server ID as 1, and the ? displays the options available:
router#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
router(config)#server-id 1 ?
full entire bay (all shelves)
lower lower 1/2 of split bay (shelves 3 & 4)
upper upper 1/2 of split bay (shelves 1 & 2)
