enable


Enters privileged mode.

Syntax: enable [level]

level

Specifies the privilege level expected by the TACACS server when TACACS+ authentication default is enabled. Valid Values: 0 - 15. Default: 15

Description: When you telnet into the Avici router, you enter the Avici router's executive mode.

Use the enable command to enter privileged mode. At the password prompt, enter a string of between 4 and 20 alphanumeric characters.

Use the enable level command to specify the privilege level for this server used by TACACS authentication. Use the show privilege command to display the current privilege level for this server.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Executive

Example 1: In the following example, the enable command changes the command mode from executive to privileged:

router>enable

password:

router#

Example 2: In the following example, the enable command changes the command mode to privileged, and the ? displays the commands available in privileged command mode:

router>enable
