
telnet
Starts an outbound telnet session from the Avici router server to a specified remote system.
Syntax: telnet {hostname | ip-address}
hostname
Hostname of the remote system. The hostname must be included in the local host name table.
ip-address
IP address of the remote system.
Description: The telnet command allows a user to establish an outbound telnet session from the Avici router server to a remote system.
Factory Default: None.
Command Mode: Privileged.
Example: In the following example, the telnet command establishes an out bound session from the Avici router server to remote system 140.122.1.9:
router#telnet 140.122.1.9
Trying 140.122.1.9...
Connected to 140.122.1.9.
Escape character is '^]
