logging log-debug


Enables logging of protocol debug output to the current log file.

Syntax: logging log-debug [log-only]

no logging log-debug

log-only

Redirects protocol debug output to the current log only. No display on the originating console or telnet session takes place with this option enabled. Default: disabled.

Description: Use the logging log-debug command to redirect protocol debug output to the current log file in addition to displaying on the originating console or telnet session.

Use the logging log-debug log-only command to redirect protocol debugging output to the current log file only. When this command is enabled, protocol debug output does not display on the originating console or telnet session.

Use the no logging log-debug command to disable the redirection of protocol debug output to the current log file. This command disables protocol debug output to the originating console or telnet session.

Use the show debugging command to display the current status of debug logging.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Privileged.

Example 1: The following example enables protocol debug logging:

router>enable

password:

router#logging log-debug

router#show debugging

Debug logging is enabled

No debug enabled

router#

Example 2: The following example disables BGP peering debug for the composite link oc48c1 interface:

router#no debug composite-link oc48c1 ppp lcp

router#show debugging No debug enabled

router#
