clear obituary
Clears the obituary log for a specified bay controller or routing module, all routing modules, or all platforms.
Syntax: clear obituary [bay bay/controller | module [bay/module | all]]
bay A/B
Specifies the bay and bay controller whose obituary log is cleared.
module [all | A/B]
Specifies the module whose obituary log is cleared.
Description: The obituary log file is a text file containing information regarding critical problems or system reset information.
Use the clear obituary command to delete all obituary logs on the Avici router or those logs associated with a specified platform or set of platforms.
Use the clear obituary command with no arguments to clear the obituary logs for all servers, bay controllers and routing modules in the Avici router.
Use the clear obituary bay A/B command to clear the obituary log for the specified bay controller.
Use the clear obituary module A/B to clear the obituary log for the specified routing module.
Use the clear obituary module all command to clear the obituary logs for all routing modules.
Factory Default: N/A.
Command Mode: Privileged
Example 1: The following command clears the obituary log for bay controller 1 in bay 1.
router#clear obituary bay 1/1
router#
Example 2: The following example clears the obituary logs for all platforms:
router#clear obituary all
router#
Example 3: The following example clears the obituary log for module 14 in bay 1.
router#clear obituary module 1/14
router#
