
clear counters
Clears counters on the specified physical interface.
Syntax: clear counters [pos bay/slot/port|gbe bay/slot/port|composite-link name | vlan bay/slot/port.vlan_id]
pos bay/slot/port
Clear counters on the specified POS interface.
gbe bay/slot/port
Clear counters on the specified Gigabit Ethernet interface.
composite-link name
Clear counters on the specified composite link.
vlan bay/slot/port.vlan_id
Clear counters on the specified VLAN.
Description: Use the clear counters pos bay/slot/port syntax to clear the counters on the specified POS interface.
Use the clear counters gbe bay/slot/port syntax to clear the counters on the specified Gigabit Ethernet interface.
Use the clear counters composite-link name syntax to clear the counters on the specified composite link.
Use the clear counters vlan bay/slot/port.vlan_id syntax to clear the counters on the specified VLAN.
Factory Default: None.
Command Mode: Privileged.
Example: In the following example:
- The clear counters pos 1/1/1 command clears the counters for POS interface 1/1/1.
- The show interface pos 1/1/1 command displays the zeroed counters:
router#clear counters pos 1/1/1
router#show interface pos 1/1/1
POS 1/1/1 interface status is up, line protocol is up
Internet address is 201.1.1.10/24
MTU 4470 bytes
