Displays information about the IP loopback interface.

Syntax: show interface loopback number

Description: The loopback interface enables you to disconnect the operation of routing protocols from network hardware operation and thereby improve the reliability of IP connections. A loopback interface is always reachable.

The IP address assigned to the loopback interface is used as the router ID.

Use the show interface loopback 0 command with to display the IP loopback interface.

Factory Default: None.
