show users


Displays information about all active lines on the Avici router.

Syntax: show users [all]

all

Display all lines, active and inactive.

Description: The show users command displays the virtual terminal and console lines on the Avici router. The line shows as "Active" only if there has been activity on the line within the last 60 seconds. It also displays the IP addresses the telnet session is telneting from and to.

Use the show users command with no argument to display the vty and console lines actively in use.

Use the show users all command to display all vty and console lines, active and inactive.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Executive.

Example: The following command displays an example of the show users command output:

router#show users

The following table describes the fields in the display:

Field Description

Line

Includes three subfields:

  • The first digit is the absolute line number.

  • The second value indicates if the line is a virtual terminal (vty) or a console (con).

  • The next digit is the relative line number within the two types of lines (vty or con).

User

User logged onto the line. A blank field indicates no one is logged on.

Line State

Indicates if the line is in use.Valid states are:

Idle - Line not in active use. "Idle " column indicates the elapsed time since there was activity on the line.

Active - Line is in active use.

Host

Specifies the IP address of the Host this session is telneting to.

Location

Specifies the IP address this telnet session is logged in from.
