show flash


Displays information about the contents of flash memory.

Syntax: show flash [module module-id  |  bay bay-id]

module module-id

Displays information about flash memory for the specified module.

bay bay-id

Displays information about flash memory for the specified bay.

Description: Displays the contents of flash memory including directory version, number of images, and information about the obituary log.

Factory Default: None.

Command Mode: Executive and privileged.

Example 1: The following is sample output from the show flash command:

router#show flash

Field Description

Directory Version

Version of the current directory.

Number of Images

Number of images burned into flash memory.

Post

Location of power on self test diagnostic image.

Current Operational Image

Identifies which of the two available images is loaded at startup.

Image 1 Name/Size

File name and size of the first system image.

Image 2 Name/Size

File name and size of the second system image.

Boot Flags

Flags are not typically set by users. However, service personnel may request that you change this flag.

Checksum Is

Indicates if the checksum for the directory is valid.

Base Address of Obit Log

Starting address of the obituary log. The obituary log is a circular file in NVRAM that captures information about system failures.

Size of Obit Log

Size of the obituary log file.

Address of Oldest Obit Entry

Address in NVRAM of oldest entry in the obituary file.

Address of Current Obit Entry

Address in NVRAM of newest entry in the obituary file.

Address of RAM Log 0 Header

Address in NVRAM for the log file header.

Max. size of each RAM log

Specifies the maximum size allowed for the log file.

Crash Dump Flags

Typically set at 0. However, service personnel may request that you modify this flag.

State Flags

Typically set at 0. However, service personnel may request that you modify this flag.

Error Debug Flags

Typically set at 0. However, service personnel may request that you modify this flag.

TSR ID

Specifies the ID for this Avici router.
